Tornadoes, severe storms threaten country’s midsection

Below arecontinuing updates tracking the severe weather battering parts of the Midwest. Forecasters have cautioned that Saturday could be a day of "life-threatening" storms, according to the Associated Press. The area at risk stretches from Texas to Minnesota. All times are Central Standard.
