Strong quake hits western Indonesia

A strong earthquake measuring magnitude 6.2 has struck off the coast of western Indonesia, but there is no danger of a tsunami, officials said.The US Geological Survey said the quake was centred about 400 miles south-west of Banda Aceh, the capital of Aceh province, at a depth of nine miles.
