Ireland ‘over-performs’ in drink exports

Exporting beverages is more valuable to the Irish economy than pharmaceuticals, research carried out by the Drinks Industry Group of Ireland claims. The research into beverage exports from 2001-2011 found that every EUR100 of beverages exported is worth the same as EUR625 worth of pharmaceutical exports to the national economy.
