Earnings: Up 127 percent, J. Alexander's posts record quarter

Follow this company (Nasdaq: JAX) posted record profits for the first quarter, as its earnings climbed 127 percent over one year ago. The restaurant company posted a profit of $2.4 million, or 40 cents per share, on revenue of $42.7 million. Weekly same-store sales increased by 4.5 percent compared to a year ago.
