Man charged with stealing from dead body

A MAN of 57 who collapsed in a lift was targeted by a thief as he lay dying. The victim fell ill at the block of sheltered flats where he lived and it is thought someone stole from his body. A 41-year-old man from Chester, where the body was found, is in court next month charged with theft, Cheshire Police said.
