Robbie Williams says he was 24hrs away from death during prescription drugs binge

Irish Sun (ANI) Thursday 8th October, 2009

London, Oct 8 : British singer Robbie Williams has revealed in an exclusive interview that he was just 24 hours away from dying from a prescription drugs binge before entering rehab.

Williams, 35, revealed that the dangerous cocktail of pills included the painkiller Vicodin, which was found in Michael Jackson's body after his death.

"I would do 20 Vicodin in a night. I was on my way out. I might have been 24 hours away from dying," the Sun quoted him as saying.

"At the time you don't give a s*** if you pop your clogs. I must have been very, very close.

"I would have carried on, to be honest. You get to the point that far into your addiction, you're not bothered whether you live or die, because that's where it takes you," he added.

The singer also revealed that he took Speed, Ecstasy, Cocaine, Lsd, Adderall, and Heroin, before he checked into rehab on his 33rd birthday in 2007.
