Russian corruption targeted by hedge fund

Irish Sun Monday 12th October, 2009

Hermitage Capital Management, a British hedge fund has taken on official corruption in Russia by releasing an Internet video that accuses the Russian government, the courts and the media of gangster-like corruption.

Claiming the government acts in concert with gangsters, the hedge fund has released on YouTube a claim that criminals are able to take over banks while murderers can dictate to judges.

In waging the war against Russian organised crime, the video also accuses politicians of poorly administering the financial systems while actually assisting criminals.

It is believed the Russian government has put an executive of the Heritage group on its search list of alleged tax evaders.
