Schweinsteiger wins Man of the Match award

Bastian Schweinsteiger won FIFA Man of the Match after he inspired Germany to a scintillating 4-0 win over Argentina in the World Cup here Saturday.

Schweinsteiger has filled the boots of injured midfielder Michael Ballack throughout this World Cup and he was outstanding once again as the Germans destroyed a defensively naive Argentina.

It was Schweinsteiger's curling free-kick that set up the first for Thomas Mueller and he made the third with a brilliant run and cross for Arne Friedrich to score.
