CEBU, December 28 (PIA)--The tourism industry of Minglanilla town is seen to boost with the full operations of Anjo World, the first theme park in the province in 2019.
Eric Pagar, Municipal Public Information Officer (PIO) said the 1.5 hectare amusement park will put Minglanilla on the map, for its theme park which will be an attraction to local and foreign tourists.
"Why go to other places and spend more when we just have this Anjo world right here in Minglanilla, in Cebu," Pagar said.
Snow World was the first feature of Anjo World which opened in November. It occupied 2000 meters of the property and has a temperature of negative 15 degrees Celsius.
The facility is expecting 3,000 park visitors per day and around 7.5 million visitors in the next five years.
While Anjo World finally opened to the public three days before Christmas, a press release mentioned seven out of the 12 rides were already enjoyed.
It featured iconic and gravity defying Spinning Roller Coaster, 200 Feet Ferris Wheel, Boomerang, Hip Hope and Bumper Boats.
The all-time favorite rides included 25 meter Drop Tower, Frisbee, Go Go Bouncer, Space Shuttle and the Viking.
For groups and families, kiddie rides available were Mr. Cup (Teacups), Mr. Toad (Jumping Frog), London Taxi (Bumper Cars) and the Golden Carousel.
Anjo World featured different themed zones based on the different continents of the world-Europe, Asia, America, Africa in one setting.
Located at Belmont One Commercial Complex, Anjo World's rides and attractions are supplied by the manufacturer members of the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA).
Minglanilla is a first class municipality, found in between the cities of Naga and Talisay in the south of Cebu. (fcc/PIA7-Cebu)
