Top-seeded Sofia Kenin won her second title of the year by outlasting Anna-Lena Friedsam 6-2, 4-6, 6-4 in the championship match of the Open 6eme Sens in Lyon, France.
The 2020 Australian Open champion recorded 29 winners and overcame 42 unforced errors while outlasting the German. The 21-year-old Kenin has won five career titles.
"It was a little bit different pressure and it was such a tough tournament," Kenin said after the one hour, 49-minute match. "I'm so happy to have come here."
She became the first player to win two WTA titles in 2020.
Friedsam, 26, had five aces to Kenin's four.

Top seed Elina Svitolina of Ukraine outlasted Czech Marie Bouzkova 7-5, 4-6, 6-4 in a marathon match to win the title in Monterrey, Mexico.
Svitolina prevailed in a match that lasted 3 hours, 1 minute, largely on the strength of her serves. She struck six aces to zero for Bouzkova, the No. 9 seed, and won 73 percent (51 of 70) of her points on first serve.
Still, Bouzkova had 18 break-point opportunities but converted just four. Svitolina capitalized on five of her 14 break chances.
This was Svitolina's 14th WTA championship but first since 2018.
