CO WEXFORD, Ireland - Emergency services reportedly removed a man's body through the window of a "very littered" home in Co Wexford.
Gardai, the local fire department, and ambulance personnel were called to the house on Grange Road in New Ross at 10.45 p.m. last Friday.
The body of a man in his forties was discovered on the property. His body was transported to Waterford University Hospital for a post-mortem examination.
Gardai are looking into the discovery. However, it is believed that he died of natural causes.
According to the reports, the house was "infested with rats," and the incident was "a tough call for the fire service."
"They'd never seen anything like it before. Following their debriefing, they were offered critical incident stress management support," according to a source.
"He had died less than an hour before we arrived," an ambulance service spokesperson added. He'd been in the room for quite some time. The room was in poor condition. It took hours because the window had to be removed and his remains transported."
According to a Garda spokesperson, "investigations are still ongoing."
