ABU DHABI, 11th December, 2024 (WAM) -- The European Arab Medical Congress (EAMC) officially begins today in Abu Dhabi, marking a significant milestone in fostering international medical collaboration.
Organided by Emirates Scholar Center for Research & Studies, a subsidiary of the Emirates Science and Research Foundation, in partnership with the Zayed Higher Organisation for People of Determination (ZHO) and in collaboration with the Arab Medical Union in Europe and the European Medical Association, the event is supported by the Abu Dhabi Convention and Exhibition Bureau.
Hosted at the headquarters of the ZHO, the congress runs from 11th to 13th December and serves as a prominent international forum, gathering experts in medicine, research, and technology from the UAE and across Europe.
The opening session witnessed the presence of esteemed dignitaries, including Dr. Abdullah Belhaif Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Sharjah Consultative Council and Chancellor of the Emirates Scholar Center for Research & Studies; Dr. Fayza AlYafei, Executive Director of the Care Quality Sector at the Abu Dhabi Department of Health; and Lorenzo Fanara, Ambassador of Italy to the UAE. These thought leaders shared their perspectives on the UAE's leadership in advancing global healthcare systems.
Dr. Abdullah Belhaif Al Nuaimi remarked, "The European Arab Medical Congress is a unique global platform fostering collaboration across continents. It supports our efforts to develop sustainable healthcare systems. Through innovation and knowledge sharing, the UAE reaffirms its position as a leading destination for comprehensive healthcare solutions that make a meaningful global impact."
This year's congress spotlights cutting-edge advancements in medical and scientific research, including artificial intelligence applications and global best practices in healthcare. With participation from over 500 medical professionals, more than 60 expert speakers, and 20 leading global institutions, EAMC provides an exceptional platform for exploring the future of healthcare, promoting innovation, and exchanging expertise.
Dr. Fayza AlYafei highlighted, "Achieving high-quality healthcare is a shared global aspiration. This congress offers an extraordinary platform for collaborative action. By uniting exceptional minds from diverse disciplines and backgrounds, we establish a foundation for a more inclusive and sustainable healthcare future."

EAMC 2024 focuses on exploring advancements in medical technology, environmental health, and inclusive healthcare strategies for people of determination. The programme features interactive sessions, scientific discussions, and networking opportunities designed to foster collaboration and inspire groundbreaking solutions.
As an annual event, the European Arab Medical Congress strengthens partnerships between European and Arab medical communities, serving as a global platform to share pioneering research, innovative solutions, and best practices to address pressing global health challenges.
