Hollywood actor Thomas Middleditch has been roped in to join the cast of upcoming 'Zombieland' sequel.
The
'Replicas' actor will be joining the already star studded cast which includes Emma Stone, Woody Harrelson, Jesse Eisenberg, and Abigail Breslin. Zoey Deutch and Rosario Dawson are also expected to join the list.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the plot of the film follows a group of zombie slayers as they face new kinds of zombies that have evolved since the first film.
'Zombieland' is a horror comedy road movie, which revolves around four strangers that meet and bond amid a post-apocalyptic zombie outbreak.
The film is set to begin production in January and will be released in October 2019, in time for the 10th anniversary of the original movie.
The original film which was made under USD 24 million earned USD 75 million domestically and raked in a decent USD 102.3 million in the world market.
The new film will focus on comic mayhem, taking the quartet from the White House to the American heartland as they face off against new zombies, who have evolved since the first film, and also new human survivors are an interesting addition to the storyline of this film.
