DUBLIN, Ireland: The four-bedroom "luxury coastal living" 174 Links Cottage at the Trump Ireland, Doonbeg resort, sold for 895,000 euros in March.
The Residential Property Price Register showed that the luxury cottage sold for almost double the price it fetched five years ago.
The same property sold for 530,000 euros in August 2021. Its new price of 895,000 euros is a 69 percent increase over five years. It is also nearly three times higher than the 300,000 euros it sold for in August 2017.
Donald Trump became U.S. President for a second time in January 2025, and during his first year, the golf club saw a record number of new members and a rise in property sales at Trump Ireland, Doonbeg.
Data shows that six properties were sold in 2025 for a total of 3.48 million euros, with the most expensive selling for 900,000 euros. In comparison, only two properties were sold in 2024 for 1.42 million euros.
General Manager Joe Russell said sales have stayed strong and continue to grow each year. He explained that demand is driven by limited supply and a growing interest in ready-to-move-in, lifestyle-focused homes.
He added that the resort's strong reputation, consistent performance, and global recognition—such as being ranked among the top resorts in Europe—are boosting demand. Its links golf course and five-star hotel also make it unique and attractive to buyers.
Russell said both Irish and U.S. buyers are showing strong interest, especially those looking for high-quality, fully serviced properties where everything is managed for them.
Membership at the resort also hit record levels last year, with a joining fee of 25,000 euros, rising to 30,000 euros in April. Buyers must become members before purchasing property.
Russell said 2025 was the best year ever for new members, and 2026 is already on track to do even better. He added that ongoing investments—about 7 million euros in the golf course and facilities, along with preparations for the Amgen Irish Open—are helping drive this strong growth.
